Reading Homework For reading homework, you need to read for 10 minutes every day. Pupils have a reading book and blue reading journal which must be signed with the pages read. At the end of term, the children who read the most will be entered into a draw to win a prize! |
Here is a video to show you how we read fluently at school. Practise reading like this at home.

Oracy Homework Homework will now include an oracy focus each week. We work closely with Voice 21, an education charity that support a high-quality oracy education to transform the learning and life chances of young people through talk, so that all children can use their voice for success in school and in life. Each week, we will share a word on dojo that your child has used somewhere within their learning. We encourage you to ask your child to talk to you about this word. Questions will be provided to support children if they are struggling to discuss the word. Please ensure you show your child that you are listening carefully when they tell you all about their word, as active listening is a huge part of oracy too. If your child uses one-word answers to discuss the vocabulary, you can ask them to talk in ‘full sentences’ as this is something we promote in school. Hopefully this will be a nice activity for you to share at home as the children love using new vocabulary in school. This does not have to be recorded or logged but we do ask that you please take the time to complete the activity each week to support your child’s oracy skills. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send a message on dojo. |

Maths Homework For Maths homework, pupils need to complete TTRockStars every day for 10 minutes. Being fluent with multiplication and division facts will help with every aspect of mathematical operations. Passwords have been given out to all pupils. If you do not have your login, please message your class teacher on dojo.

French
This half term we have been learning the names for fruit and vegetables in French. We would like you to create a storyboard about going to a French supermarket using the phrases provided. Remember to bring them into school! |
